The Complete Hotel Room Workout: 20 Minutes to Vacation Fit

So, borders are open and  you’re traveling for work (or leisure) and you’re still trying to remain consistent with your workout. The only problem is, your hotel doesn’t have a gym; or maybe the gym is packed. Whatever the reason, it looks like you’ll have to skip your workout right? Wrong!

It is possible to get a quick and effective workout without ever leaving your hotel room. All you need is twenty minutes, a little floor space and a resistance band.

Why I think resistance bands are awesome:

I love resistance bands. They’re portable, budget friendly and come in different resistances to suit different fitness and strength levels. Added bonus? They can fit in your carry on.

Now, the workout:

Get ready to work every single muscle with this twenty minute full body resistance band workout.

This workout consists of three circuits. Perform each circuit 4 – 5 times with very little rest in between. At the end of each circuit, rest for one minute and repeat. Circuit one is all bodyweight exercises and will serve as a warm up. Then grab the band for circuit two and three.

CIRCUIT #1: 4 -5 sets, 15 reps each

  • High knee march
  • Bridges 
  • Jumping Jacks 

CIRCUIT #2: 4 – 5 sets, 12 – 15 reps

  • Reverse lunges
  • Bent over rows
  • Reverse crunches

CIRCUIT #3: 4 – 5 sets, 15 reps

  • Squat to press 
  • Overhead triceps extensions
  • Mountain climbers

After your workout you should not only be sweating like crazy, but feel quite accomplished. Go stretch, take a shower and get ready for your day (or night).
